Founding practitioner of DYFIT, Aki Shibata, leads a weekly practice at the Rondo Community Library, each Tuesday through October. This practice will help us stretch to transform our internal self and experience the beauty of the Rondo neighborhood.
These practices are part of our St. Paul-based project, Commitments: Embodied Healing and Liberated Spaces, made possible by the Bigelow and St. Paul Foundations. Aki, who lives in Frogtown/Rondo, is excited to bring community residents and library visitors together through joyful dancing. She shares, “I really think DYFIT is peacebuilding through authentic expression in public space.”
